KARBON is a French artist who fuses Pop Art, Street Art and embedded technology. Founder of the Artronic movement, he creates interactive works with sensors and LEDs from his studio in France.
Long format (≈ 120 words)
Born in 1970 in Paris, KARBON works under the name KARBON. A press photographer for Ici Paris from 1998 to 2005 (Hachette Filipacchi group), he developed a parallel visual practice mixing multi-layer stencil, urban collage and manga iconography. Since 2020, he has founded the Artronic movement — a fusion of Pop Art, Street Art and embedded technology. His works integrate ESP32 microcontrollers, presence sensors and addressable LEDs: they react in real time to the viewer's gaze. His studio produces unique pieces and numbered limited editions.
